About

A long time has passed since Chacham Naftali Karshi packed his belongings and left his place of birth towards the Holy Land.
Chacham Naftali arrived at the newly founded State of Israel with unsurpassed creative spirit, influenced by the Jewish tradition and artistic culture of his home land.

The fine craftmanship and metal work he studied after his arrival in Israel, and in 1955 was ready to establish a workshop to further his special creative zeal.
chacham Naftali settled in the Mamilla neighborhood in Jerusalem, then situated at the border between East and West Jerusalem and near the Old city walls.

Chacham Naftali chose at first to work with brass, which is an easy metal to work with. He began producing a variety of Judaica products: Hanukkah Menorah's, Candle-Holders and Biblical dolls. The original work of Chacham Naftali attracted many shop owners from Jerusalem.

The Hanukkah Menorah's he created were of modern design, and brought a renewal of existing Judaica product. Chacham Naftali did not stop there and in the next stage of work began creating series of perstige products, coated with pure silver and gold. These high quality products, coated with 24 Karat Gold and pure silver, were offered to the world Judaica market, and shop owners and customers alike fell in love with them and they became a hit.

His artistic joy he passed down to his four sons: Goel, Yedidia, Yoram and Uzi, who each joined the business at some stage, together with their brother-in-law Moshe.

The young Karshi sons continue their father's tradition. Since their young age they helped in the business and joined the production after their studies and during holidays. In this way they learned the profession and became experts. The young generation conferred a high momentum of production to the business. All four sons completed their studies in various technological fields and with their knowledge, Karshi productions is today a thriving business, using the newest technologies, while maintaining the traditional flavor of the products.

This, together with Karshi competitive prices, makes for a winning combination. Much thought and talent is placed into the design and in choosing the materials for the product Imitations abound in the market, but our customers know the difference between the quality of Karshi products and these imitations, and they know that for quality Judaica ask for Karshi Original!
